William Danes is a character on Gilmore Girls.
Story[]
William is the father of Luke and Liz Danes and the grandfather of Jess Mariano and April Nardini. He was the first owner of William's Hardware, known now as Luke's Diner. He was so dedicated a salesman that once, when he was out of paper, he wrote down an order on the wall. Luke was very close to his father. William made a makeshift ice skating-ring for Luke when Luke found an interest in ice hockey.[2] Liz has mentioned to Luke how Jess reminds her of their father.
