Various fun fare booths are put up by the townspeople. At the 2006 Winter Carnival, Lorelai and Rory had a booth with Paul Anka making predictions. Mrs. Kim had a fiery pits of hell themed booth, with Lane as her assistant. Taylor Doose was snowed in for the 2006 event at his sister's place in Maine, but made it back in time for the event. However, he choose to dress up 'incognito' and sneak around the booths, as a make-shift mystery shopper, pretending to be German.
