Template:Infobox character Marty is a friend of Rory that she met at Yale. Her first encounter with Marty was when she found him nude in the hallway of her dorm. In later episodes, he seemed to have romantic feelings toward Rory, but she was already interested in Logan. Later, after it is revealed that Marty is the boyfriend of Lucy, Marty keeps his previous friendship with Rory a secret from Lucy, and Rory is forced to go along with it. Logan finally tells Lucy the truth and she breaks up with him.
