Synopsis[]
Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) attend Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily's (Kelly Bishop) posh tailgating party at the Yale-Harvard football game, where an encounter with Richard's old sweetheart (guest star Linda Gehringer) exposes an upsetting secret he's been keeping for more than 30 years. Elsewhere, Paris (Liza Weil) tries to score an interview with a distinguished faculty member (guest star Michael York); Rory has reservations about Luke's (Scott Patterson) new waiter; and Lorelai finally accepts Jason's (Chris Eigeman) dinner invitation.
