Drella is a recurring character on Season 1 of WB drama Gilmore Girls. She is portrayed by Alex Borstein.
Drella is the rude harpist hired at the Independence Inn who appears in the first four episodes of the first season of the Gilmore Girls. She is rude to guests, stops at the very end of songs because the kitchen is calling her name, runs over Michel's foot with her harp, and plays Black Sabbath if she thinks no one is listening. She also refuses to play requests on principle, but quickly drops the pretense of principles when offered an extra hundred dollars.
- “Do I look like I've got Panasonic stamped on my ass?”
- Borstein was originally cast as Sookie, but had to quit due to scheduling conflicts with MadTV.
- Drella finds Michel annoying, but hot.
- The character's credited in Season 8, but has no lines and has possibly been cut out for time.
