Chin-Chin is one of two chow dogs owned by Michel Gerard. Michel adopted them when he was forced to dismiss employments of the Independence Inn after the fire. He chews Lorelai's shoes in "Say Goodbye to Daisy Miller". Unfortunately, he passes away in Season 7, and his funeral takes place during episode 7.14, "Farewell, My Pet".
